Preparing for the Trek Ahead

We have enjoyed our time in Canada.  Seeing our daughter married in July was definitely a highlight.  But connecting with so many Canadian-side partners has given us a shot of encouragement.

We will leave Tuesday morning, September 3 to fly back to Taiwan.  Lorne has new shoes and we are both anticipating what awaits us on the other side of the ocean:

• renewing relationships with friends
• participation in church ministries
• cleaning our house after being away for more than two months (OK, not looking forward to that quite as much)
• Bible reading and discussions with seekers
• Thursday morning English teaching and Bible storytelling (Yes, the time has changed to the morning this year) starting Sept 12
• decisions about adjusting the church schedule as some meetings are not at times that are convenient for people to attend
• meeting the newly arrived MK teachers from a C&MA church in Toronto
• and much more….

Thank-you for welcoming us back into your lives warmly.
Please pray for us as we once again say good-byes and prepare for what we will experience in the next few weeks.

Praise and Prayer

• Please pray for Warren who is struggling with lifestyle choices that want to pull him back into old habits.
• Thank-you for praying as the budget request for next year has been compiled.  Please  pray that God will give leaders wisdom to know what clarifying questions should be asked.   Thank-you for your sacrificial giving to support the variety of ministries around the world.
• Praise the Lord that Ilaine’s transfer to a bank near Baozhong has been approved.  Please pray for God to help Pastor Joshua and Ilaine to have harmony in life and ministry in Baozhong.
